Internet is the backbone of new economy. Villagers, because of the lack of good infrastructure and connectivity are left out of this economy. We intend to bridge this gap in this project.

Information Dissemination is a major task and for a country like India with billion people, passing the information to the rural and illiterate people requires Herculean efforts. Internet can be used for this purpose, but connectivity and available bandwidth are the major constraints in taking information to villages. NGOs, in collaboration with research institutes, private sectors and government organizations are deploying low-cost connectivity solutions for rural India. However, there is a dearth of software tools that help transmitting huge volume data over this low-bandwidth connectivity. Community based Content Delivery Networks (CCDN) is an initiative to develop appropriate software solutions that work under the low-bandwidth constraint.
